Boxing Day

Finally, I am celebrating Boxing Day. Traditionally, this is the day that the very rich box up the leftovers from Christmas dinner and give it to their servants. Their servants can then take the food and are free to visit their own families.

I celebrated Boxing Day by cleaning out student refridgerators and throwing out things like solid milk and carmelized tomato sauce. Did you know it could carmelize? You would be surprised what can happen to good that is between one month and 6 months old. Anything can carmelize, become solid, become a liquid, or become a black goo on the shelf. I am quite sure that today I threw away the cure to cancer, but I couldn’t tell which bag of old salad it was in–sorry world.
