My manuscript is called “Accidentally Jewish” and is the story of my conversion. Most books on conversion are either “How To Become a Jew” or collections of “How I became a Jew” stories. THe problem with the collection, or what is lacking in them, is that it is the 1000 word version of how someone became a Jew. I want more than four pages to tell my story. I told it online, now I’m going to tell it in a book.
So it is the day to day, the ups and downs, the ah ha moments and the never going to become a jew moments. THe days I thought I would never learn enough and the days I knew I’d learned something.
That is the executive story. A slow telling of one conversion in the Reform movement.
