Amy, the author of Three Fallen Women and blogger and friend, started a meme today and I, um, tagged myself. “Here is how it goes… I’m going to answer the five questions my friend asked me. I don’t tag you. You tag yourself. If you want to participate, leave “‘Ask me, uh-ho-ho, ask me” in the comments section of this post and I’ll then send you five questions that I am dying to ask of you. You post the questions and your answers to the questions on your blog. (You might want to include this explanation for clarity. Feel free to just link to this one instead of worrying about having to re-explain it, if that is easier.) When others comment on your blog asking to be interviewed, you will ask them five questions that you are dying to ask of them. Got it? Good.”
1. Leah, have you ever been so pissed off that you did something outrageous that now is really funny? What was it? What did you do?
I hit a teacher.
Um, yeah, kids get kicked out of school and tossed in jail for that now. But he was being a male chavaunist pig and I was being your typical, self-rightious, 15-year-old HS sophomore. I don’t even remember exactly what he said, but it was in saxophone master class and he was being a jerk. So I smacked him across the face. Ouch. Then I stormed out of the room. Not exactly a shining moment, unless my life was a movie, in which case it was brilliant.
2. Leah, if you were going to get a full arm of tattoo-piece, what would it depict?
I have no idea, but it wouldn’t be cliche. It wouldn’t be abstract either. I don’t know. A ton of hebrew? Something cryptic? Fish? A light blue ribbon? That’s it. A light blue ribbon, falling and curling down my arms. (Because the same color blue is used in the Chicago flag, the Argentine flag and the Israeli flag.)
3. Leah, what is your favorite word today and why?
Ahem. It’s my favorite word to use in IM with people and I use that a lot at work. Much more effective than email, but leaves a record unlike phone calls. I’m also thinking “scritch-scratch” for no particular reason.
4. Leah, when you look in the mirror, what part of yours are you glad to see just as it is?
My eyes and my glasses, I’m pretty happy with them. And as big as my feet are, if they were any smaller I’d fall down. I like the middle parts too. My body and I, we’re getting on good terms with each other.
5. Leah, how many of the 50 states have you visited? (Hint: airports do not count)
I have been to 22 of 50, not including layovers. Not so bad, not so bad.
Soooooooooooooooooooo…. If you want to be tagged in the Meme A Go Go, leave me a comment and then I’ll leave you five burning questions.
UPDATE: And from Diane at Sparktacular, the following five questions.
