MyWineTxt.com FAQ (in which I interview myself about my company)

What is MyWineTxt?

MyWineTx t is a way for you to order wine for home delivery via text message. What I mean is you send a text message with the number of bottles you want and what wine and we’ll have the kind folks at UPS bring it to you.

Can I order any wine I want?

Not yet. We are currently partnered with Israeli Wine Direct, but we have interest from other distributors and vinyards. There are a lot of possibilities, but we’re starting with Israeli Wine Direct to make sure it all works before we license the platform to people.

Why do you need my address and credit card information?

Mobile carriers (like Spring, Verizon, AT&T) won’t let us tack on the cost of wine and shipping onto your phone bill at the end of the month. So during the registration process, we need to gather your shipping address (where will we send the wine) and billing information. We haven’t been able to convince the vinyards to give us the wine for free, either.

What is your role with MyWineTxt.com?

I’m the co-owner and co-founder. My business partner is Richard Shaffer, who also owns Israeli Wine Direct. Thus the partnership to help sell Israeli Wines.

How can I give you feedback?

We just signed up with GetSatisfaction as a way to get feedback on the site and service. I’ve learned a lot since we started asking people to sign up – like it doesn’t have our names anywhere on it yet, so people don’t trust the site. GetSatisfaction will be a great way for us to publicly respond to changes we need to make with the site and learn more about our users.

Where did you get the logo?

We used crowdSPRING for the logo design. crowdSPRING is another Chicago start-up, so it was great to use their services.

Anything else you haven’t mentioned lately?

Nope, that’s it. If you are interested in using MyWineTxt.com as a way to sell your wine for home delivery, please let us know. General email is info@mywinetxt.com
