Trust the experts.

Hey bike guy, you are the expert. I trust you! Now get that 1960-something bike in order. $200 later, my Chicago Schwinn Varsity ten speed was on its way to a second life.

I might have mentioned that a customer of mine gave me a bike he found in his garage. He didn’t want to bother with it and thought the frame would be good for me. Yesterday when I was on the phone with Uptown Bikes, I noticed that the bike had a license on it from Skokie, Illinois. It expired on May 31, 1969. My bike was last used in 1969!

Now it will be my bike for city cruising. I am getting new tubes, tires, brake wires and housing, handlebars, brake pads, seat, and other things. I’m excited for my new bike.
